  • what to bring for wdw marathon weekend

First off, can't wait for January to get here. Second off I haven't been on an airplane since 1997. What do you bring with you to run when flying. I'm figuring most of my running gear with my carry on since if they lose my stuff at least I'll have that. What does everyone else bring for this related to running. Waterbottle, gear, shoes,I use GU so can I bring that in carry on or put in luggage. Any help, hints or ideas are greatly appreciated. Can't wait for January once again and hope we have some kind of meet up while down there.

That might be a good idea.

Here is a link to the thread, that will lead you to many other threads, that answer questions, advice, etc, about running at Disney: http://www.beourguestpodcast.com/for...ead.php?t=5553

Hopefully you will find some helpful information at this link.

I am not a runner so I have no idea.

I can't wait for January to get here either! This will be my 4th straight marathon weekend, I and love it more and more each time.

You are right on track with the carry-on idea. All race essentials should go in there. I always wear one pair of race shoes on the plane as well - you can buy almost everything else at the expo in an emergency, but your training-run shoes must be on your feet.

I also brings gels, a race belt, body glide, and... uhhhh.... tape for "sensitive" spots. :-) If you're a GPS watch guy, don't forget the charger!
