    End of week 3 update:

All in all I am pretty happy with the results from week 3. I met all the goals I set and am really starting to see some improvements!

Weight loss this week was more of what I was hoping for and for the first time in a LONG time I am in the 180's!!

    Week 1 - 10.2 pounds lost
    Week 2 - 2.5 pounds lost (currently weigh 192.3)
    Week 3 - 4.9 pounds lost (currently weigh 187.4)

    So after week 3:

Weight: 187.4 down from 205 when starting so 17.6 pounds lost overall
Body fat: 21.7% down from ~30.5% when starting**
BMI: 24.1 down from 26.3 when starting**

** These percentages come from my FitBit Aria scale so not sure how accurate they are.

I definitely struggled the beginning of the week with some bad blisters which had healed by the weekend. The weather did not help either as we had yet another winter storm come through which made it miserable to do anything outside.

I went Saturday and bought real running shoes and the difference is amazing! I no longer get the pain in my lower shins and overall I seem to be able to go longer on the treadmill when using them. I am now sporting a whole new set of blisters from them but should be good to go once those heal!

The absolute highlight of the week was Saturday when I was able to do 40,000 steps for just under 20 miles!

    Goals for week 4:

Hoping for another 3-5 pound weight loss this week.

Running shoes - Get these broken in so blistering finally abates.

Continue tweaking the diet plan until I find exactly what works for me. So far this seems to be working although I am looking to improve variety a bit as eating the same food is getting a bit boring.

Try hard to stick to me original 3 month plan of:

    March - Weight loss
April - 3x week running some measurable distance
May - Start an actual training program - Pretty sure I am going to use the Jeff Galloway program....
Did it! The move to Orlando is complete and I am now a full time resident in Florida! There is nothing like living just around the corner from Walt Disney World!

Thanks Keith and Jackie.....Wonder if I can cut a deal with someone to keep the blisters in exchange for some Spring weather!

                End of first month update:

Weight loss this week continues to be about what I would expect although it seems I need to work a bit harder to get the numbers I want.

                Week 1 - 10.2 pounds lost
                Week 2 - 2.5 pounds lost
                Week 3 - 4.9 pounds lost
                Week 4 - 4.8 pounds lost (currently weigh 182.6) - 170's coming soon!!

                So after week 4:

Weight: 182.6 down from 205 when starting so 22.4 pounds lost overall.
Body fat: 20.4% down from ~30.5% when starting**
BMI: 23.4 down from 26.3 when starting**

** These percentages come from my FitBit Aria scale so not sure how accurate they are.

Still dealing with some blisters but they are finally starting to heal. Still too cold to do all that much outside but hopefully Spring really is coming and not just a rumor....

Best day of the week was Sunday when I was able to do 41,000 steps for just over 20 miles! Paying for it a bit today! The rest of the week I simply made sure to hit my goals of:

                20K steps per day
                10 miles per day
                100 active minutes per day.

                Goals for week 5:

Hoping for another 3-5 pound weight loss this week.

I purchased an Elliptical machine which will be in this week. Should provide a little better overall workout on the days I am stuck inside. So looking forward to what new aches and pains this particular device will inflict upon me.

Try hard to stick to me original 3 month plan of:

                March - Weight loss
April - 3x week running some measurable distance
May - Start an actual training program - Pretty sure I am going to use the Jeff Galloway program....

                  End of Week 5 Update:

2 items of note for this week:

                  1) The big news is that I booked myself (and a kiddo) on the Be Our Guest Podcast Cruise 3.0!!! Really excited to meet all the people I have been interacting with!

                  2) Second big item is I hit my first weight loss goal this morning! Really happy with the results this week even though it was a struggle some days to find time!

                  Week 1 - 10.2 pounds lost
                  Week 2 - 2.5 pounds lost
                  Week 3 - 4.9 pounds lost
                  Week 4 - 4.8 pounds lost
                  Week 5 - 3.5 pounds lost (currently weigh 179.1) - 170's!!!!

                  So after week 5:

Weight: 179.1 down from 205 when starting so 25.9 pounds lost overall.
Body fat: 20.0% down from ~30.5% when starting**
BMI: 23.0 down from 26.3 when starting**

** These percentages come from my FitBit Aria scale so not sure how accurate they are.

Setup my new elliptical on Sunday - 15 minutes on it this morning really showed me how much work I still need to do.

Still consistently hitting my goals of 20K steps and 10 miles per day. Will be interesting to see how much my step count drops as I start using the elliptical more and more each day.

Planning on spending April focused on building strength/endurance and if the weather will play nice starting to run outside 3 times per week.
Did it! The move to Orlando is complete and I am now a full time resident in Florida! There is nothing like living just around the corner from Walt Disney World!

I was just reading through this thread, and I wanted to congratulate you on a great job so far.

I'm doing something similar (and am also booked on BOGP 3.0) and am glad to see we are both achieving good results so far!

                      Keep it up!!
