Multiple DVC contracts?

Let's say you're getting ready to purchase a 2nd (or 3rd) DVC contract. Is it important to have the same use year (renewal month) for all your contracts? Why or why not? Thoughts, please.

I have heard it is easier to keep track of them that way. We have multiple contracts that have the same month. Our only problem is that they are at two different places, but since we like to stay at different places it isn't that big of a deal.

We have 3 separate contracts all at different resorts, but with the same use year. We did it for the same reason Ray mentioned that we also heard it was easier to keep track of. It probably makes it a little easier to juggle when to use, borrow and bank points.

I agree with Ray & Bob we have four contracts over two resorts and the main & only reason I can see for keeping the use by year the same month on all contacts is its easier to manage & also use your points.

And contracts with different UY also produce a different Member ID. So you will have two seperate DVC logins and cannot mix points between contracts for stays other than your once a year transfer.

If you can stick with the same UY. We have both AKV and SSR-- never been a big problem.

Now THIS is the kind of information I was looking for. I knew there had to be some sneaky side effects I didn't know about. I had no idea there was a rule like this! It sounds so inconvenient and restrictive. When we bought our second contract it just happened to be in the same UY as our first. What luck! Am breathing a very belated sigh of relief. Thanks!!
