Welcome Wednesday

Does anyone know if DVC is always doing the Welcome Wednesday thing all year long? And how I can find out about it when I get to WDW this Jan? I would like to go to one.

I don't know about January, but here is where I keep up on DVC news. They have the July Welcome Wednesdays listed on this site. As a new DVC member I am looking forward to attending one of these also.

Welcome Home Wednesday is a must for us! We love DeeVee Cee, she makes it worth going to. It's a year long thing, we've been several times.

It starts at 4:00, I think, at the Atlantic Dance Hall at the Boardwalk, and last for a hour. It's fun, I recommend it highly

Yep, they usually hold them year round. The only time they cancel it is when they have some special event going on at Atlantic Dance on a Wednesday. They also don't hold them in December, as the normally have the Member Mixers every Thursday in Epcot.

Yep! We love Welcome Home Wednesdays! We usually go each trip down to the World. They are a bit corney but we love them! Being in a room full of DVC Members is awesome! Plus I like getting the DVC swag!

Last time we went, I won a Gift Certificate to the Portobello Yacht Club in DTD!

On our last trip to WDW we stayed at the Boardwalk so we attended the Welcome Wednesday on that last day of our trip. In fact we had to leave early for the airport to catch our flight home. That made it all a little sad, but the event itself was quite fun. They were giving out snacks, drinks, a free issue of D23 magazine and other fun items.

Cat Cora happened to be at the Boardwalk for a book signing so she dropped in for an interview. And as was said above, it's great to be in a room full of DVC members.

I had never been in the Altantic Dance Hall before and was surprised by how beautiful it is inside. It's quite elegant, more so than one would expect looking at it from the outside.

The sign that was up at Boardwalk advertising Welcome Home Wednesday said the event was held every week. I assume it runs year round, but you can contact DVC or the Boardwalk directly if you want to be sure.

All in all I would recommend it to any DVC member. Once again, Disney has created a very nice experience with Welcome Home Wednesday.
