That picture of Tink.. Where exactly is that? I have never seen that before!
That picture of Tink is a window in Tinkerbell's Treasures Shop. I had never noticed it before that day!

Love the pictures they are very nice. I also just realized what your signon name means. I am a little slow.
I like the pirate code! I see Chuck had his rebuttal for my statement after your post.
My signon name is also my license plate. People ask me all the time what it means.

I can't believe you didn't use your priority pass! I hope you were able to go back and use it later!

I try to get the resort pins with Mickey too. The only one we've stayed at that I haven't gotten is Saratoga Springs.

Ahhh, I'm glad. I was hoping I could write well enough to convey just the feeling I had at that moment. I think only WDW fans could understand it!

I'm glad you're liking it! I think I'm going to have to update in the afternoons from now on, though. Mornings are getting too hectic!! Soooooo, here comes an update!!

Thanks! The camera I'm using is a Fuji S6000 fd (I don't think they ever really made it onto the store shelves before Fuji released it's big brother...that's okay, it went into clearance almost as soon as it was released! I would love to get a Nikon D90, but I have this little Disney obsession thing that keeps sucking up all my money!

This is a BIG one!!

Day One Part Four

On our way out of the Magic Kingdom, we stopped by the Fire Station. They had the cutest ornament with Mickey police officer on top. I didn’t get it, but I’m planning to in the summer. I hope it will still be there!

At the turnstiles, we saw a CM with a monorail pin and we traded. Unfortunately, when I got home, it was a color I already had!! A tip from me: keep a pin list!!

After a short ride on my favorite mode of WDW transportation (Monorail), we are at the Grand Floridian. It’s even grander at Christmas time! You come in on the second floor and then you can take the elevator or the grand staircase down to the bottom level. Who doesn’t want to take the grand staircase!!

Once you are down on the ground floor, the tree is breathtaking!

It is covered with the most wonderful Victorian ornaments like fans, birdcages, little purses.

Light fixture!

Behind the beautiful tree sits the Gingerbread house made out of real gingerbread but big enough to house a real store. (One of my Disney goals is to work there for a season.)

One of the chefs was demonstrating the techniques used to built the house.

Had to try a piece!

Continued next post!

The Gingerbread house is covered with hidden Mickeys. See it?

CMs at work.

I love the little paintings over the windows. I took this picture for Em (our daughter is a Chip and Dale fiend.).

Taking a minute to enjoy and (drool over the Steinway.)

Back upstairs we took a minute to visit one of my favorite places in all of WDW. One the second floor of GF, there is a balcony which overlooks the lake and beach and over to the Polynesian. It is almost always empty and like a breath of fresh air. I could sit there all day.

I was really hitting the wall (please remember it is my first real day out of bed in a week.) and burning up in the jeans so we decide to head back to CBR and rest. We got off the bus at Port Royal to look in the gift shop for some shorts or capris or I’m not going to make it through the rest of this trip (Later, that’s gonna make you laugh.)

Chuck got some shots of the now empty food court.

I really like how it is the inside made to look like the outside. Of course, this is the last time we saw it because it was so darn far away from the room.

Continued yet again in the next post!

There is also a shop in that area decorated in a pirate Christmas theme. I never really associated pirates with Christmas.

Skull and crossbones ornaments, not something you see every day. (I need one.)

I love these little tropical trees.

In the shop I was able to find one pair of shorts. They were men’s, but I was desperate. (Oh, you are so gonna laugh.) I took them in the dressing room. I heard Chuck talking to someone outside. It sound like Heather (We met Heather at the last Mousefest and became fast friends.) I thought about yelling out there, but decided it wouldn’t be the most ladylike thing to do. The shorts, of course, didn’t fit. It was Heather! It was so good to see her again. She had just come over to look around one of her favorite resorts. We discussed our plans and travels so far. I knew we’d be meeting up again. She asked if there had been something special in our room. When we said no, she said, “Hmmm, I’ll have to see about that.” A surprise? I love surprises!!

That's it for today!

I never would associate pirates and christmas together either but man, do I want one of those skull and crossbones pirate ornaments! and you're right.. that tropical tree is totally cute too! It would be great fun to work in the gingerbread house but do you think you'd get tired of the smell of gingerbread after awhile?
can't wait to hear more!

I loved that pirate Christmas stuff!! I think it could work on our tree. We don't really have a theme, just all the ornaments we've gathered.

I could get tired of eating the gingerbread, but smelling it? No way!!

Just a short update today!

Day One Part Five

We parted with Heather and considered taking the internal shuttle back to the room. I thought I could make the walk. It is pretty after all.

Back in our room, there was a surprise! A gift bag with my name on it was waiting on the bed!!! It was a birthday present from our dear Heather.

Love this card!

Can you tell I am excited!

Inside the bag was a small box wrapped in princess paper with my favorite princess Snow White on the top!

Inside the box was a beautiful red bag and inside the bag was a Jungle Book pin! If you’ve followed our family’s adventures, you know the Jungle Book is the movie that was released the year I was born. My fortieth birthday trip report was called the Jungle Book, Chickfila and me and that is the trip where we met Heather. It was a very special gift and she is a very special friend!

(I wish my pin pictures were better.)

After all the excitement, I needed a nap!
